Overview of the Oberig helmet model R

Kevlar is one of the popular materials for making ballistic helmets. Its high strength and lightness make it ideal for protection against bullets and shrapnel.

The first Kevlar ballistic helmets appeared in the 1970s. They were developed by DuPont, which invented Kevlar in 1965. The first models of ballistic Kevlar helmets consisted of 10-12 layers of material, which provided a good level of protection, but later this indicator increased to 18-20 layers of ballistic Kevlar.

Over time, with the advent of new technologies for manufacturing Kevlar and other materials, ballistic helmets have become lighter and more effective. Today, Kevlar ballistic helmets can include up to 30 layers of the material (in very heavy helmet versions), providing the maximum level of protection.

In addition, new models of Kevlar ballistic helmets have appeared, which can be more convenient and comfortable to wear. For example, some helmets have adjustment systems for the circumference of the head, which help reduce pressure onundefined head and ensure reliable fixation.

In general, the development of Kevlar ballistic helmets has allowed for reliable and effective protection for the military, police and other formations that are in danger.
